So my MXL position got smoked, and to add insult to injury it was damn near impossible to close out of the position due to some kind of symbol routing issue. Neither of the two brokers I was using were able to liquidate the position, so instead of bailing at the initial drop, I couldn't close out until near the lows of the day. I've seen so many names make MXL-like moves that I've tried to fade to no avail as they continued to rip higher, the one time I try and ride the rip it reverses. If that isn't trading, I don't know what is. This is why I don't gamble and also why I typically trade positively convex risk/reward strategies (can make more than I could lose). The overall market weakness yesterday certainly didn't help at all.
