Friday 26 June 2026 Morning Notes

I've been pretty busy with the kids out of school and doing sports camps and trips, so I haven't been around much. I did check in Wednesday morning, ran the "hurry up" offense, and managed to land a nice score with a "vol golden goose" in WEN. During one of the circuit breaker halts shortly after I open, I got hit on 80 contracts sold to open for July opex $6 puts for .60. This was despite the fact the stock was trading around $8.70 a share, and that the puts were trading around .25 a couple days prior with the stock trading around $6.20/share. I was able to close those puts for $.35 a few minutes later. However, they're now going for .15 on the ask.

I didn't do anything yesterday, I'm running a quasi-summer schedule now. I see SPCX options have begun trading, with IV running around 200% for June (weekly) opex, then around 105% IV for July to Nov opex, and around 90% IV for longer dated expirys into 2027. Imagine being a common stock purchaser and having no idea about the future anticipated volatility of this issue.
