Wednesday 08 April 2026 Morning Notes

Getting my teeth kicked in on this Trump TACO. The worst part is, I took a position expecting Trump to TACO, then reversed course and flipped the trade for a small profit and took the opposite side with a short 125/105 put spread and long the 175 calls in USO. I'm now convinced that the Pakistan strait opening was done via the US to mitigate Trump's North Korea-like "end civilization" comment. This is going to be a rough one, but that's trading.

I'm mostly frustrated that I manage to end up on the complete opposite side of these moves. You'd figure I would be due to land on the right side through nothing other than dumb luck, yet the market Gods haven't permitted that to happen. I still contend that one of these trades will hit and will more than make up for these bricks.
